With a permanent home in the Edwardsville, Illinois area, Gary, Connie and 15yr.old daughter Maggi, have been coming to the lake for many years. Four years ago they built this 5 bedroom, 5+bathroom house as a weekend and summertime retreat.
Entering through a double glass doorway you'll see an open floor plan accented by columned archways and walls of windows providing a fabulous lake view. The bright formal living area features light maple flooring, a white baby grand piano and a marble fireplace. A spacious kitchen with granite countertops, and Viking range lead you to a cozy family room with a stacked stone fireplace and more stunning views.
On the lower level of the home you find a full bar, kitchen, and a family and game room. Guest bedrooms and a wine cellar that can be viewed through a rectangular window as you descend the stairs complete this level. Step outside to see where family and guests enjoy a covered kitchen and bar area or the pool and spa enhanced by metal sculptures on this beautifully landscaped point.
This year's Home Tour will be Saturday May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $20 at many area outlets or call Terry at 302-4527 or Lana at 365-2959. The day of the Tour, tickets may also be purchased for $25 at Tour Headquarters, Village Station, on Highway MM, in Sunrise Beach.
