The waiting is almost over for the Newcomers/Longtimers 14th Annual Home Tour on May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year the tour includes six privately owned homes in Porto Cima. The homes range in size from 5,000 to 10,000 sq. ft. with lakefront views and fabulous amenities and decor. Tour Headquarters is located at Village Station on Highway MM in Sunrise Beach. If you have already purchased a ticket, there will be an express lane for picking up wrist bands and tour books. The Hospitality committee will also be passing out booties and bottled water so participants can be on their way to enjoy touring the homes. For anyone who has not purchased an advance ticket, they will be for sale at Tour Headquarters for $25 on Tour Day. A ticket is required for anyone over 2. The Tour Headquarters is open all day, May 17, for tour participants to take a restroom break or have light refreshments. We would like to thank the owners of this year's homes for making the event possible and for entrusting their homes to our volunteers who guide participants through them. This year the proceeds of the tour benefit: Dogwood Animal Shelter, Dream Factory, Wonderland Camp, Lake Regional Health System Obstetrics Unit and the Newcomers/Longtimers Scholarship Fund.
