The Chilcutt Home, one of six homes featured on this year's
Newcomers/Longtimers Home Tour

French Country ambiance will greet you as you walk into the home of Howard and June Chilcutt, one of six homes on this year's Newcomers/Longtimers Fourteenth Annual Home Tour. Warm oak flooring, ten foot doorways and beadboard accents throughout the home make this a warm and inviting lake retreat.

The Chilcutt's, both semi-retired and living in St. Louis, wanted an open and casual escape for weekends with their children and grandchildren. This beautiful home in Porto Cima features 8 bedrooms and 9 baths - enough room for everyone to have their own space. Some of the special features include a large great room with a stacked stone fireplace and adjacent dining area with a fifteen foot harvest table. A bright kitchen with white cabinets and granite countertops make this a wonderful gathering area for family and friends.

An elevator or staircase brings you to a lower level family room with a unique coffered ceiling, a second fireplace and kitchen area. Flanking the family room are six bedrooms and baths for weekend guests. The Chilcutts love coming to their beautiful home. Watching the kids play in the lake or pool is so much fun and provides a great retreat from the city.

This year's Home Tour will be Saturday May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $20 at many area outlets or call Terry at 302-4527 or Lana at 365-2959. The day of the Tour, tickets may also be purchased for $25 at Tour Headquarters, Village Station, on Highway MM, in Sunrise Beach.
