The following groups
receive monetary donations from Newcomer/Longtimers
funds:
Lake Regional Health Systems – Bone Density Unit
Newcomers/Longtimers will be
contributing to the purchase of a Bone Density Unit. The Bone Density scanner test, also
referred to as bone densitometry, is an important diagnostic took that not
only measures the amount of calcium in certain bones, but also can be used to
estimate the potential risk of fracture.

Dream
Factory
The Dream Factory
grants dreams to children ages 3 to 18 who are diagnosed with critical or
chronic illnesses. For information about the Dream Factory, please call

Dogwood
Animal Shelter
The Dogwood
Animal Shelter provides shelter for homeless and unwanted animals. The
shelter operates on revenue from the Thrift Shop, memberships, and donations.

Blue Moon
Sanctuary
This is a not-for-profit organization that helps special needs animals
through contributions and donated efforts.

Marine
Corps Leaque – Marine Corps League Auxiliary (Lake
of the Ozarks)
The Marine Corps League and marine Corps League Auxiliary are 501c, not
for profit organizations. The detachment and its auxiliary participate in
many activities including: Military
honors at funerals, Color Guard, support currently deployed troops and their
families, participate in the Department of Veterans Affairs Volunteer Service
Program by providing volunteer assistance to veterans confined to Veterans
Hospitals or nursing homes, participate in the USO program at Fort Leonard
Wood, provide local support to families of Marines and other service
personnel serving in harms way particularly at Christmas time. For more
